In this day and age, fashion and technology are expanding in ways we never knew were possible. For a while, fashion and technology were not normally seen to go hand-in-hand. However, with the combination of fashion and different technological components, a revolutionary baby was born: Fashion Tech.

Within fashion tech. there are many different components such as artificial intelligence, virtual experiences, 3D Modeling, as well as AR clothing. AR clothing specifically, has been booming. One notable fashion tech designer, who has been shaking up the industry is Darragh Dandurand. Dandurand is an award-winning creative strategist planning many more virtual exhibitions in the future.

Augmented reality clothing brings a different energy and perspective to fashion. AR clothing involves all the components of fashion design combined with the extensive freedom of technology to bring these designs to life.

The possibilities are virtually endless within the AR world. Dandurand emphasizes these points in her interview with Bustle. AR clothing also brings accessibility and diversity to the fashion industry. Most current clothing is catered towards the European beauty standard; tall, white, and skinny. Not everyone is built like that, and AR clothing embraces these differences. Many well-known brands such as Gucci, Nike, and Alexander McQueen have jumped on the AR wave.

AR helps us to see clothing in a completely different way and influences creativity. It also helps companies be more aware and inclusive for the sake of their consumers.
