As the company calls it, Big Alice is a full-body scanner capable of digitizing people within milliseconds and with 1mm accuracy. The technological feat is the company’s biggest photogrammetric scanning studio at 5mx4mx2.5m and has room enough to scan 6 people at a time.

The full-body scanner provides fast and accurate scanning that would enable designers to make easy adjustments to their work. Here are some of its features:

  • Maximum scanning space

  • 64 DSLR cameras

  • Mobile and compact

  • Resolution: 18mp X camera

  • 2400W white light

Fashion brands have already started using 3D scanning technology. For instance, Balenciaga took 3D scans of their models, adjusted them in a CAD program and developed 3D printed designs.

Why is this relevant?

The precise dimensions captured by the 3D scanning studio can be converted into 3D data that can be used for Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and 3D Printing.
